My Office

Lately I've been a little more active in my commitment to journaling and blogging. Today I tried a new layout for my office. Yes, it's a little cramped, but it gets the job done.

I've been reading "In The Throne Room of the Mountain Gods" lately. It's a fascinating book by Galen Rowell about the American K2 expedition in 1976. So far, a great book. It makes me miss taking the van places far and wide, something I'm going to have to do again sooner than later, although at this point, I don't know where I'd go or what I'd do. The sensation of feeling lost hasn't left my humble ego. I debate on which way to go from here...

The Rain

It's been raining so hard here over the past couple of days.  We, here in Denver, have been running the gamut of rain and sunshine and hail and funnel clouds and flooding. While nothing has been too severe, it has all been constant, which has been amazing.

I'm impressed by this weather. People say that it would make one crazy to live in a place where it does this all the time. I don't think it would get to me, though. To me, rain is like a purification from God, like all of the evil and sin you've committed is washed away, cleansed, and that, when the sun returns, you're re-born, innocent and care-free to this world.

I love the rain.
